I love Panera Bread and the MyRewards program.

    Frontera Chicken is the best.

Their French Onion Soup is pretty good but I recommend the Low Fat Chicken Noodle or Broccoli Cheddar, esp. during the winter months.

Easy to track macros, calories, and ease of ordering from the kiosk with food delivered right to your table.

The only other slight competition they have is Corner Bakery. :)

How can you go wrong with Panera?

The quality of the food is decent. Standard Panera. Always fresh. It's what you're expecting. The restaurant staff is friendly. Which is good because they are frequently "out" of a large number of items. Like all the time. Even early in the day. The restaurant is frequently dirty compared to other locations- litter on the floor and gross bathrooms. And they've lost my pickup orders multiple times.

I probably wouldn't come here if it weren't in a convenient location.

I was at Harold Washington library for a meeting and I decided to have lunch accords the street at Panera bread. It was around 11:30am and it was not too busy, which was great because I found a seat and I got my food in about 7 minuets. The food was so tasty and warm! I had a pick two: Chipotle Chicken Avocado  Melt and Broccoli cheddar soup. It was delicious. The service was great. Panera bread is so calm and I like how I can relax while eating.

I've never had a *bad* experience, but I think there are a few things people should know about this location.

1.) It gets very busy around lunch time. If you're in a time crunch, do the online ordering rapid pick-up. It's simple and will save you a lot of time.

2.) They frequently run out of certain ingredients, so be prepared for that.

3.) The coffee is not that good.

BUT the food is good and there's a lot of space for seating. Again, it gets pretty cramped, but there are always a few seats open. It's not the cleanest location, but it's also not terrible. The staff I've interacted with have always been friendly.

I must say, I like the concept, the staff is super friendly, and I enjoyed the food. But, was it worth the money I paid? No. I had a bowl of chicken cream soup (which would be a medium size portion) and a small portion of bacon mac&cheese. It was tasty, comforting... But plentiful and 14$ worth of taste? No. For that amount of money I could have went to a proper restaurant. Oh, and somebody seriously needs to reconsider those spoons!
